The Crawford Lake Visitor Centre in Milton, ON, is a one-storey educational facility with a walkout basement. A comprehensive ASHRAE Level 2 energy audit was conducted to evaluate the building’s energy performance and identify opportunities for improvement. The audit reviewed historical electricity consumption, assessed the building envelope, and analyzed all major mechanical, electrical, and domestic hot water systems. RETScreen energy modelling was used to establish a baseline and quantify energy conservation opportunities. This audit provided actionable recommendations to improve occupant comfort, lower utility costs, and enhance energy efficiency, supporting long-term sustainability objectives for the facility.
