We completed ASHRAE Level 2 Energy Assessments for seven senior housing facilities of varying ages across Edmonton. The primary objective was to identify and evaluate energy conservation measures (ECMs) that could collectively achieve a 25% energy reduction across the building portfolio.

Through detailed site investigations, utility analysis, and energy modelling, a range of upgrade opportunities were identified—including improvements to mechanical systems, lighting, and building envelope components. The modelling results demonstrated potential energy savings ranging from 17% to 46% per building, highlighting significant opportunities for operational cost reductions and improved energy performance across the portfolio.
